POLICE In Tanzania’s Pwani Region Have Launched A Full Investigation Into A Disturbing Incident After The Bodies Of Four Young Men Were Discovered By The Roadside Along The Mapinga–Kibaha Route, Near The Kidimu–Vingunguti Area In Kibaha District.
Speaking To Reporters On Thursday, October 16, Pwani Regional Police Commander Salim Morcase Confirmed The Incident, Stating That The Bodies Were Found Following A Report By The Local Chairman Of Kidimu Street Government.
“After Receiving The Report, A Team Of Police Officers, In Collaboration With Forensic Experts, Arrived At The Scene And Discovered The Bodies Of Four Men, Estimated To Be Between 19 And 22 Years Old,” Said Commander Morcase.
The Victims Had No Identification Documents On Them And Were Found With Injuries To Their Faces And Legs, Suggesting They May Have Been Beaten Or Tortured Before Their Deaths.
The Bodies Were Transported To Tumbi Regional Referral Hospital For Postmortem Examinations. Commander Morcase Later Confirmed That The Bodies Have Since Been Identified By Their Families.
The Deceased Have Been Named As:
- Mikidad Mikidad (21) And Hassan Jumanne (21) – Both Motorcycle Taxi (Bodaboda) Riders And Residents Of Tabata Chang’ombe,
- Fadhil Hiyola (19) – A Resident Of Vingunguti Miembeni,
- Abdallah Nyanga (21) – A Three-Wheeler (Bajaji) Driver From Tabata Kisukuru In Dar Es Salaam.
Authorities Have Not Yet Disclosed The Possible Motive Or Suspects Involved, But Investigations Are Ongoing.
